THEME OF THE YEAR
“The Art of Illusion”

In a time when we are constantly bombarded with impressions—especially through countless screens and speakers—it is important to pause and reflect on what is real, and what merely seems to be.

Welcome to a week-long festival where we do exactly that: pause. At the top of the agenda is the study of illusions.

We begin with music. How can music alter our perception of reality? Through which tones and timbres can sensations be created, distorted, or amplified? What doors to inner worlds can be opened - if only we allow the music to deceive our senses?

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Messiaen Quartet Copenhagen
