THEME OF THE YEAR
“The Art of Illusions”

In a time when we are constantly fed by new impressions—not least through countless screens and speakers—it seems wise to pause often, breathe a little more slowly and reflect on what is real — and what merely appears to be. At Båstad Kammarmusikfestival (the Båstad Chamber Music Festival), you will have the chance to do just that.

Join us on a journey into the world of illusions — mostly wonderful, but sometimes terrifying. With the help of nearly 50 musicians and 40 composers, you'll be invited to challenge your perceptions of reality’s very foundations. Do you dare? Of course you do! This is going to be a sparkling celebration of the facts that you are alive and the world is real.
